Cisco ASR9901, also known as Cisco ASR 9901 Router, is a compact high-capacity Provider Edge router in the Cisco ASR 9000 Series. It delivers 456 Gbps of nonblocking full-duplex fabric capacity in a 2RU form factor and is designed for carrier Ethernet, IP/MPLS edge, large-scale aggregation, data center interconnect, mobile backhaul, broadband network gateway and service provider transport applications.
Cisco ASR9901 includes an integrated Route Switch Processor and 42 integrated ports supporting combinations of 1GE, 10GE and 100GE speeds, including 16 x 1G, 24 x 1/10G dual-rate ports and 2 x 100G ports depending on optics and configuration. It runs Cisco IOS XR 64-bit software and supports advanced service provider features such as L2VPN, L3VPN, IPv4, IPv6, multicast, SyncE, IEEE 1588, EOAM, MPLS OAM, HQoS, MPLS TE-FRR, MC-LAG, IRB, NSF, NSR, Segment Routing, EVPN, programmability, telemetry and MACsec depending on software and license.
