Coriant hiT 7065 is a compact multi-service provisioning platform and an important part of the Coriant hiT 70xx series next-generation multi-service transport solution. It is designed for core and metro aggregation networks and supports flexible configurations for traditional SDH and MSPP networks as well as migration to next-generation packet optimized transport solutions. By sharing a common hardware pool and software packages with the widely deployed Coriant hiT 7080, the hiT 7065 can simplify deployment, reduce operational costs and leverage proven software features.
The Coriant hiT 7065 platform supports SDH, Ethernet switching, ATM, OTN, WDM and ASON/GMPLS functionalities on a single network element. With native SDH grooming and integrated packet switching capabilities, the platform enables service providers to extend existing SDH or MSPP networks while introducing packet-based transport services. It supports services up to 10G, WDM options, Carrier Ethernet services including point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations, and is suitable for mobile backhaul, LTE networks, business services, residential Triple Play connectivity, core aggregation and metro aggregation applications.
