The MX960 is an Ethernet-optimized edge router designed for carrier-class routing, high-speed transport, VPN services, broadband networks, Internet edge, data center interconnect and service provider aggregation applications.

The Juniper MX960 chassis provides modular scalability with redundancy for power supplies, fan trays, Routing Engines and Switch Control Boards. The platform supports DPCs, MPCs, MICs, PICs, FPCs and SCB generations including SCB-MX, SCBE-MX, SCBE2-MX and SCBE3-MX depending on chassis revision, Junos OS version and system configuration.
